FOOTNOTE:
'morning after' drink drivingA friendly warning to those of you who will be driving the morning after the Gala Dinner. Around 1 in 6 drink drive convictions is for a person driving the morning after drinking the night before. It takes much longer than most people think for alcohol to work its way through the body – approximately one hour per unit. We want you all to enjoy the Gala Dinner, but not to run the risk of a drink drive conviction the following morning – a good reason to travel by public transport if you can. For more information about drink driving and how long it takes for alcohol to pass through the body visit: www.morning-after.org.uk.
