Having commenced trading in 1998, Gourmet Classic is – and always has been – the brand leader in supplying culinary alcoholic ingredients.  It is estimated that Gourmet Classic accounts for around 90% of all branded cooking wine sold in the UK.

Back in the late 1990s we just supplied red and white cooking wines – and these are still a hugely popular part of our product offering.  Identifying a need for premium product, ‘named’ cooking wines like Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay quickly became favourites with chefs across the UK.

Through our involvement with all the top UK chefs’ associations, Gourmet Classic has always been close to their end users.  The unique insight this gives us has been instrumental in the development of the Gourmet Classic range which now includes fortified wines and spirits. It is easy to see why chefs love the versatility and choice offered by Gourmet Classic – and how easy it is to add value to a menu using these products.
